A trip last summer to the Isle of Skye has lead to some paintings of the breathtaking landscape that overwhelms any sense of human scale. These two paintings are based on my experience of Loch Coruisk and the Cuillins. My paintings and drawings are primarily based on observations of particular
landscapes and the atmosphere that they evoke in recollection.
I work mainly in oil, graphite, and pen and ink as well as excursions into the
written word.
A recent project - an illustrated book entitled "Birds on the Faroe
Islands" comprising of a total of 45 individual drawings and
a commentary on the birds names in English and Faroese was published last year - click on the link to see a preview.
I hope you enjoy my work and find something to interest you.
